Funding levels are generally set based on how much transport support a participant is likely to need, and can be paid periodically into a participant's plan rather than claimed trip by trip.
This funding can be used for things like taxis, rideshare services, or a support worker's time driving a participant, depending on what's included in the plan.
It's separate from — and can work alongside — Core supports funding used for a support worker to accompany someone during an outing.
If transport needs change significantly, for example due to a new job or a change in living location, it's worth flagging this at the next plan review rather than waiting for it to become a bigger problem.
