NDIS Plan Reviews: What to Expect and How to Prepare
30 October 2024 · By GTI Team
NDIS plans typically run for 12 months before a scheduled review, though a participant can also request a review earlier if their circumstances change significantly.
A plan review looks at what's working, what isn't, and whether funding levels still make sense given the participant's progress and current needs.
It helps to keep track of how funding has been used throughout the plan period, along with any reports from therapists or providers documenting progress towards goals.
If a participant's needs have increased — for example, following a change in health or living situation — this is the time to raise it, supported by relevant evidence.
Reviews are also a good opportunity to reassess whether current providers and supports are still the right fit, rather than simply continuing with the same arrangement by default.
